So we had everyone over to our house for Christmas Eve this year and it was soooo fun to see everyone. Unfortunately, the pictures are out of order. Sarah wore herself out. We couldn't find her and my dad looked down beside the couch and this is what we found. I guess this is her way of waiting for Santa.
Mike's cousin Dustin and his wife Teri came over as well so we had enough kids to have our own little Nativity Play. Joey, Dallyn, and Jacob were the Wise Men, Caleb a Shephard, Sarah and Ellie were supposed to be angels but that didn't work out too well.

Erik was Joseph, Kira was Mary and Nathan was Baby Jesus. Grandpa Gurney read the scriptures off of Aunt Bobbie's iPad.
After the little dramatization we played the White Elephant Game. I know my kids had a great time and I hope that everyone else did as well. I love the oportunity to build such great memories with my family.

Happy December!

We are celebrating birthdays around our house. Jacob's birthday was last Thursday and Joey's is today. Were has the time gone my babies are 9 and 7 now? I think it means I must be getting old.

Nathan is continuing to do well and we are so glad he has joined our family. Sarah is starting to realize she isn't the baby anymore and I'm not sure she is liking that. She is also earning a new nick name "Mother Hen", she is becoming very protective of "her baby." She is usually the first one there if he is crying, granted half the time she is the reason he is upset but she tries to make it better. Dealing with babies and a 2 year old isn't a new experience but a 2 year old girl is a whole different world than a 2 year old boy. I think I will feel like I have accomplished something when I get through this phase with Sarah and Nathan. There is definitely a reason why Nathan thinks he needs to be held ALL of the time.

A Little Of Life

Jacob loves his Legos and he is actually being really good to let Erik hold his tower. The boys and Mike had been in the playroom building this and thought Mommy needed to take a picture of it.

So our little Sarah isn't so little anymore. She loves being a princess and dressing up in pretty dresses. This pink dress was her birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma Gurney and it is the only dress she would wear to church for two weeks. She wanted to wear it again Sunday but Mommy didn't have it washed so I was in trouble.

Where does time go?

So where does the time go? It seems like only a few months ago we were bringing home our sweet little bundle of pink and now she will be two on Wednesday! I can't believe how big she has gotten.

We finally have just about everything unpacked. I think we are down to the stuff that got saved because we weren't sure what to do with it and now are discovering we really don't need it. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my house! I have so much more room, it's great being able to have places to put things away and have room for company to come and visit.

Crazy Life!

We have had so much going on that I kind of forgott about the blog. Well to begin I didn't do so well with the biggest loser thing. After my first initial wieght loss I just kept an even weight, no gain no loss. It was driving me crazy since I was really trying to watch what I was eating and working out. I discovered the reason I couldn't seem to lose weight was that I am expecting again. We are due November 14, 2010.
The same day we found out I was expecting was the day our offer was accepted on our new house. So I have spent the last month trying to pack and fight off morning sickness. If everything goes well we will close on our house on Tuesday and if a miricle happens Monday. Unfortunatly, Mike has to work all of next week so we won't be able to move in until following Monday-Wednesday. It seems like it is taking for ever to get things done. Our new house is twice as big as the one we are in and has tons of storage space, I can't wait to get moved in and settled.
